Salutations

You have arrived at Caloquet, a solitary corner on the internet that I (Amber) update at my own leisure. This website contains the art and a link to writing that I've produced since 2005 and will continue to grow as I deem more of my work as worthy for viewing pleasure.

Updates

I would never allow my portfolio site to rot! :) Here I am with 12 nice new additions, although some of the artwork is actually old and simply what I considered best of the past. Hopefully I won't take two months to update again, but I leave you with this beautiful new layout. I love the photomanipulation. I may add a photomanipulations page to this website. Lastly, I added a link to "writings" above - click on it and it will lead you to my Fiction Press account.

I promise that I'm not dead (although no one views this website but me!). I'm currently on spring break and uploaded three new pieces of artwork. I have new ideas, but knowing me, they won't get done until July.

Revamped all pages and coded them in XHTML. No additions besides a new layout.

I've been concerned with cross browser compatibility as of late. It seems that Caloquet works just fine in Internet Explorer 7, but it's an absolute mess in Firefox 2. I've been reworking my CSS for awhile now trying to fix it an it appears that I can't really do anything about it thanks to the large amount of variables I've used in this layout. I will still be making attempts, however. For now I can only place a little snippet of information regarding this matter under the welcoming header. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The "Drawings" and "Pixel Art" pages are now up - well, Drawings has been up, but Pixel Art is quite new. I have deleted the other navigational content from the website for now seeing as I haven't finished them yet.

I have finally, after several hours, managed to go through my CG drawings, pick out my favorites, turn them into thumbnails, create a page format for images and writings to appear in, input data regarding the artwork, and upload it all. That's what I've been doing during the past month. And here you thought I was inactive.

EDIT: I have additionally collected my favorite traditional drawings and have gone through and added the information to a little more than half of them. The rest will wait tomorrow.

After endless hours of blending, coding and all around killing myself (possibly outdoing myself), I have completed the layout. It's not completely how I wanted it, but that's life for you. And it's valid coding courtesty of W3 Schools, which hopefully helped out with browser problems that might occur with CSS. I only have IE 7 to work with (as I am not allowed to download Mozilla Firefox or Opera) so if you're using a browser that isn't IE7, that's tough luck for you.

I'll start to get the pages up and create a few things worthy of adding.
